Kohlhoff Loop products
De Kohlhoff loop producten zijn de moderne manier van het bevestigen van lijnen en blokken. De traditionele RVS onderdelen zijn volledig vervangen voor Dyneema stropjes en aluminium onderdelen. Resultaat zijn superlichte en sterke producten, welke voor vele toepassingen gebruikt kunnen worden.
Connecting parts with ropes is nothing new in sailing. Kohlhoff offers a twin loop rope shackle which is easy to use, extremely strong and safe. This loop is the basic part of all Kohlhoff Loop products. The loops are made of Gottifredi Maffioli’s Compact Braid, a polyurethane coated Dyneema® SK 75 single braid.
Kohlhoff Loop Shackles are light weight and compact sized. They do not cause any damages to deck, hull, superstructure or rig. They do not sink immediately when dropped overboards and they are reasonable prized. Thanks to its flexibility Kohlhoff Loop Shackles can be used everywhere, also at difficult to access locations. Advantages of the twin loop construction:
- Easier to open and close
- Closes automatically under load
- Both parts are equally strained which increases break strength
The new Cover shackles are made of original Dyneema® cover material produced by Gottifredi Maffioli. We added an interesting detail to the shackle so you cannot lose them. They are very soft and available in two different lengths. One shackle in the normal length, the other one long enough to wrap (turn) it two or three times around to double or triple the working load. This is obviously better from a fibre layout perspective to distribute the load.
Versatile in use: Ideal for applications such as tack points, barber haulers, soft connections, and high-load setups without causing damage to the deck or rigging.

Cover Shackles come in six sizes, ranging from Type S (500 kg MWL) to Type XXL (1833 kg MWL). Each size features a distinct color code for easy identification on board.
